With countless topping combinations, the possibilities for pizza are limited only by your imagination. But did you know that pizza dough itself has even more to offer the adventurous home cook?

Beyond pizza, dough can be used to create an array of delicious, family-friendly recipes. Best of all, you don’t need fancy equipment or special skills—just your kitchen oven and a Homemade Pizza Club dough ball. Here are three fantastic recipes you can make with ease, at any time of year.

RECIPE 1: FOCACCIA

Focaccia is a delicious and easy-to-digest Italian bread that’s perfect as a side dish, for sandwiches, or even on its own at breakfast!

EQUIPMENT & INGREDIENTS:

•  8–9" non-stick cake tin
•  1 well-proofed Homemade Pizza Club dough ball (Napoletana works best, but any type •  will work well)
•  Olive oil
•  Salt
•  Fresh rosemary

METHOD:

•  Preheat your oven to 220°C.
•  Lightly oil your cake tin with olive oil.
•  Press the dough into the tin, using your fingertips to make small indentations in the surface.
•  Brush the top with more olive oil.
•  Sprinkle with sea salt and rosemary.
•  Bake for 20–25 minutes, until golden brown.
•  Cool on a wire rack before serving.

RECIPE 2: TEAR-AND-SHARE GARLIC & HERB DOUGH BALLS

Perfect for sharing and done in under 30 minutes!

EQUIPMENT & INGREDIENTS:

•  1 well-proofed Homemade Pizza Club dough ball (any style will work well)
•  10" cake tin. You can also use a baking tray or pan
•  100g unsalted butter (room temperature)
•  5–6 garlic cloves, finely chopped (or use garlic powder/granules)
•  Chopped fresh or dried herbs (parsley, thyme, oregano, basil—your choice)
•  Salt & pepper

METHOD:

•  Mix butter, garlic, herbs, salt, and pepper. Divide into 15g portions and freeze for 2 hours.
•  Preheat oven to 220°C.
•  Lightly dust proofed dough ball with flour, split into 6 equal pieces and lightly flour your surface.
•  Flatten each piece. Use a little extra flour if the dough sticks.
•  Place a frozen butter portion in the centre.
•  Fold and seal the dough around the butter, then roll into balls.
•  Place the dough balls in the tin or on the tray and bake for around 20 minutes until golden brown.
•  Cool for 10 minutes before serving.

RECIPE 3: CINNAMON & NUTELLA PIZZA DOUGHNUTS

A sweet treat that proves pizza dough isn’t just for savoury dishes! This recipe features cinnamon and Nutella, but feel free to get creative with your own choice of coatings and dips.

EQUIPMENT & INGREDIENTS:

•  1 well-proofed Homemade Pizza Club dough ball (any style will work)
•  Deep rimmed frying pan or saucepan
•  Cooking oil (enough for ½ inch depth)
•  Granulated sugar mixed with ground cinnamon
•  Nutella for dipping

METHOD:

•  Divide dough into 6 equal pieces and roll into smooth balls.
•  Fill the frying pan or saucepan with around ½ inch of cooking oil and heat on the hob. Place a small amount of dough into the oil and if it sizzles, it is ready to go.
•  Fry doughnuts for about 5 minutes, turning halfway to ensure they cook evenly.
•  Drain on paper towels, then roll in the cinnamon sugar.
•  Dip the doughnuts in the Nutella and enjoy!
